You can activate Player versus Player (PvP) mode in these zones. In general, these zones are outside of NPC settlements (cities, towns, villages) and would usually have monsters. You will first encounter these zones in the Navarra Region.
Below are notifications that you will receive in accessing disputed zones:

PvP mode is disabled while you are in these zones. In general, these zones are areas inside of NPC settlements. For example, Carzacor (beginner region) is a protected zone.

Path of Destiny Instance
The Path of Destiny quests has areas with an instance which will isolate you from other Players. A blue transition effect will appear once you enter a Path of Destiny area instance. Even in a party, you will be unable to see any of your friends until the quest is complete or you exit the instance.
