A Guild is a group of players consisting of a Guild Master, Officers, Veterans, Members and Initiates under the same banner. Each Guild is unique and has its own trades or pursuits. It is formed to protect mutual interests, maintain standards, and reach a common goal.
Creating a Guild
You can find the Guild Registrar NPC in major cities or camps to proceed with your Guilds’ formation. From the World Map, it is easily recognizable by its icon.

As a Guild Master, you have the authority to change the Guilds’ Emblem, manage applications, delegate officers, veterans, members and initiates. The authority to modify Guild features varies differently depending to the positions assigned to each member.
On the Guild Info tab, you can see the basic information regarding the Guild like the Emblem, the current Guild Master, the number of members, announcements and the Guild History.

How do you join a Guild?
There is no need to talk to an NPC like the Guild Registrar to join a Guild. You can join an already existing Guild immediately after creating your character. To do this, go to the Guild tab by pressing the "View" button and select "Guild Search".

You can either select from the list of available Guilds or search for a specific Guild using the “Search” function.

Once you receive an invitation from another Guild, you will see it listed in the "Pending Guild Invitations". You will be able to observe their Emblem, the Guilds Name, the name of the Guild Master and how many members they currently have.

Pressing the "A" button on the selected invitation will show a new window wherein you can choose to Accept or Decline the invitation. Once you have decided, the rest is history.
Why do you need a Guild?
Being in a Guild promotes socialization, offers access to perks and bonuses, and grants the opportunity to meet your specific needs. There will be Guilds that may be devoted to a specific activity like PvP, Gathering/Crafting or dominating the Guild Wars. This brings a variety of choices for the players depending on their priorities and preferences.
