Appearances are used to change the visual appearance of a piece of equipment while Dyes are used to change the color of outfit appearances and equipment. With these at your disposal, you can customize your character to suit your visual aesthetics.
Where do I get an Appearance?
You can obtain an Appearance from different Equipment by using an Appearance Card or by equipping an equipment that does not have the tag: “Cannot Obtain Appearance”.

Where can I get Appearance Cards?
Appearance Cards can be obtained by purchasing them from other players through the Marketplace, Events, Token Redemption NPCs, and Reputation Merchants (once a player has obtained at least the "Revered" status with that reputation).

When you acquire Appearance Cards, they will be stored in your Bag, under “Consumables”. To register the outfit, hold down the “A” button.

Once you use the card, you will receive a notification that you have “Obtained a New Appearance”.

How do I change my equipment’s appearance?
To change the appearance of your equipment, visit the "Outfit Designer". However, changing your appearance costs Gold so make sure you have enough to pay the merchant.

Where do I get dyes?
Dyes can be obtained through purchases from NPC Dye Mixers, Reputation Merchants, and Token Redemption merchants. Additionally, you may craft them through the Alchemy Station.

How do you use Dyes?
In order to dye your equipment, you need to go to a "Dye Artisan". The Dye will be consumed upon use so choose how you want to use your dye carefully!

There are 3 types of equipment you can dye:
- Cloth
- Leather
- Metal

What are Costumes?
Costumes are items used to change your characters appearance to a complete set instantly. Costumes can be bought via the in-game store. You can check your costumes by going to the menu and clicking on “Wardrobe”. When you acquire a "Costume Card", it will be stored in your Bag under “Consumables” in the category labelled “Miscellaneous Card”. To register the costume, hold down the “A” button.
